Ph.D. in International Law and Economics (Bocconi University), LL.M in Intellectual Property Law (Queen Mary, University of London), is Senior Research Fellow at ASK (Art, Science and Knowledge) Bocconi centre for research on management and economics of arts and culture institutions. From September 2011 to September 2015 she held a post-doctoral research position at the Department of Legal Studies at Bocconi University. Prior to joining the faculty at Bocconi, Aura has been research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Munich. Her main areas of interest include digital copyright, participative innovation models, and data regulation. Dr Bertoni has also extensive experience in funded research projects. She has been part of one FP7 project (COUNTER) on the consumption of counterfeit and pirated goods and in one FP7 thematic network (LAPSI 2.0) on the legal aspects of public sector information. She worked as leader of the work package devoted to ‘Arts and Culture’ in ITSSOIN (Impact of the Third Sector as Social INnovation in Europe) project, funded by the European Commission’s Framework Programme 7. Morever, she is currently co-investigator of EnDOW (Enhancing access to 20th Century cultural heritage through Distributed Orphan Works clearance), a 3-year project funded under HERITAGE PLUS.
