Director of Global Sourcing of European Wines

Nicholas Paris is the Director of Global Sourcing of European Wines for the E. & J. Gallo Winery in the US. He first entered the wine industry as a sales consultant for Zachys Wine & Liquor in Scarsdale, New York. Shortly thereafter, he became Zachys’ Auction Coordinator and a wine specialist at Christie’s Auction House in NYC and Beverly Hills. Since then, he has held a variety of positions as a retail wine buyer, distributor sales rep, winery sales and public relations manager and Director of Education. During his wine career, Nicholas has been very active in education, wine judging and travel. He has taught at the university level and trained and educated employees for dozens of small and large restaurants, hotels, country clubs, casinos, retail stores and wholesalers. He has judged at several prestigious international wine competitions. Nicholas has traveled extensively throughout the wine world and speaks several languages proficiently.
