Winemaker at Caves Vilarnau
Born in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia – the capital of Cava, some 40 km south of Barcelona, Eva holds a degree in Technical Agricultural Engineering, and a Masters in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Barcelona as well as a Masters in Wine Marketing & Communication from the International University of Catalonia. Her formation also included a research project at Fachhochschule Geisenheim in Germany.
She is a much sought-after speaker and panel member at conferences on sparkling wines as well as a jury member for wine competitions. In addition she is a member of numerous boards and committees, amongst them the Catalan Association of Enologists and the Cava Regulatory Board tasting committee.
She has been a winemaker for Cavas Vilarnau since 1996.
Eva still lives in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (you remember: that’s the heart of Cavaland close to Barcelona), together with her husband, two kids and a dog.
